Confronting Jesus
These three short dramas, Paying
Taxes, One
Bride for Seven Brothers, and The
Greatest Commandment are designed to be done back-to-back in a single
service or in consecutive services. They
come from Matthew
22:15-46.
While this pericope is about 3 encounters of the religious
leaders with Jesus; the drama proceeds without a Jesus character. All interaction is among the Pharisees or
Sadducees as they wrestle with their inability to best the Messiah, or even
recognize the one that they hope to discredit.
All 3 dramas do involve some costuming and perhaps a little
music for effect.
